The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program is a federal entitlement program that assists U.S. workers who have lost or may lose their jobs as a result of foreign trade. This program provides adversely affected workers with opportunities to obtain the skills, credentials, resources, and support necessary to become reemployed.
If you are eligible for this program, TAA assistance may include help finding and training for a new job, transportation and subsistence payments, job search allowances, relocation allowances, trade adjustment allowance, alternate or re-employment trade adjustment allowances.

PLEASE NOTE: As of June 30, 2022, the federal TAA program expired and is currently pending a decision by Congress to reauthorize continuation of the program.
- If you were certified from a petition and separated from your job on/or before June 30, 2022, you may still be eligible for benefits and services under the TAA program.
- If you were separated from employment after June 30, 2022, please contact your nearest NYSDOL career center to learn about job seeker services available to you.
